Belonging – An exploration

Combining the modalities of yoga and art.

We will move through a gentle and accessible, breath centred grounded flow, to stillness and the earth of Yin, tapping into the wisdom of your body. A deep listening. Breath, body and ground.

Be-longing/Belonging

From the ground of you, to trusting your hands and heart, with child like freedom. There are no rules, you can colour outside the lines and be wild with wonder. The multimedia project of Body Mapping, is a tool for inquiry and no art skills or experience are needed. It is an unfolding and play.

Meet Your Hosts

Carla Collins

Carla’s first love was art, she holds a Fine Art diploma and has taught, both privately and at schools. Art, much like yoga, has hugely transformative power and speaks to the essence of who we are at our core – creative beings.

She is also an 500hr Yoga teacher with over a decade’s experience and specialises in Yin and restorative yoga. Her classes are underpinned with a depth of knowledge curiosity and play through movement, breath and stillness

Her fascination with this body wisdom, both the seen and
unseen, the gross and subtle has lead to her to further her
knowlege with the study of specialised kinesiology.

Alex Black

Alex has always followed a path of service. She is a registered nurse and has worked in ICU and hospitals both locally and abroad. In 2015 she left nursing to homeschool her child, and in time, allowed him to follow an unschooled approach.

She found a new way to serve, manufacturing props for the yoga and meditation community. During this time, Alex completed a six month course in Ayurveda as well as a Yin Yoga training.

She is in the process of completing a Health Coaching Diploma. Her dharma of service continues, through assisting individuals to regain their optimum health physically, mentally and spiritually.
